Coastal Risks: Hazards, Stakes, Representations, Management

The aim of the conference is to strengthen the knowledge and the understanding of coastal risks in terms of erosion and marine flooding. The conference will present a selection of both disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects on coastal risks and will compare experiences and approaches used in various geographic contexts linked to particular forcings, both environmental and anthropogenic.
The Conference’s objectives are:

  • To bring together coastal risks experts (researchers, PhD students, managers) at the national and international level;
  • To present a selection of both disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects on coastal risks;
  • To compare experiences and approaches used in various geographic contexts linked to particular forcings, both environmental and anthropogenic;
  • To promote exchanges between researchers working in different disciplines and to look at how to improve interdisciplinary research;
  • To promote exchanges between researchers and coastal managers
